Bibliographic Commission of VUAN and its Incomplete activities

Section: To the 100th anniversary of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine

Abstract: The history of the creation of the Bibliographic Commission of the VUAN (1926-1930) is considered. The activities of the scientists of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, well-known librarians and bibliographers of Ukraine, which were members of the commission and actively participated in its work, are covered. Information is given on the organization of the first plenum of the Bibliographic Commission of VUAN, the questioning of bibliographic institutions and bibliography figures, the question of creating a Ukrainian bibliographic repertoire.
