European Digital Library (Europeana): Stages and Development Priorities (2000–2020)

Abstract: Тhe strategy of the creating a European Digital Library (Europeana) as an integrated ectronic European area of cultural heritage is stored in libraries, archives, museums and other cultural institutions of European countries are revealed. This project is developed within the overall strategy of innovation for economic and social development of the European Union. The stage of the project, the basic principles of the strategy, experience, cooperation, direction of formation of the resource structure, solving the problems are disclosed.
