Socio-cultural discourse of national libraries of Ukraine as a tool of formation of national memory

Abstract: The article analyzes the socio-cultural discourse of national libraries of Ukraine, discovered and disclosed its specifics. It’s proved that socio-cultural discourse of library institutions are instrument of formation of national memory. It’s accentuated the need of a consensual approach to the formation of the concept of national memory, identifying key meanings distribution of which is important for the Ukrainian community, the format and extent of libraries’ participation in the implementation of policies of memory.
