The development strategy of specialized scientific library

Abstract: The article deals with the theoretical approaches and specific requirements for the development strategy of specialized academic libraries, as an important component of the national strategy for scientific and information support of science and higher education in the coming decade. Emphasized the leading role of research libraries in formation of integrated national scientific information space, their ability to integrate the efforts of all participants of scientific information process – research institutions, educational institutions, publishers, editors of professional journals, electronic information centers, societies of scientists and educators
