Konoval L. The experience of the national digital libraries’ projects in the context of formation of electronic library «Ukrainika»Abstract: The article examines the international experience of development and systematization of the digital content at the national libraries’ projects. The digital projects in France, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, USA and a joint European project Europeana were selected for the analysis. The historical background of the establishment of each project, especially the functioning and principles of selection of thematic collections are considered there. The role of government institutions in support of these projects and the benefits of corporate interaction of scientific and cultural institutions throughout the state are determined. There were analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the interface and navigation and search engine of each portal. The relevance and the need to create an electronic library "Ukrainika", initiated by the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, and its role in strengthening the Ukrainian national identity and entry Ukrainian state in the European Community are proved. The priorities in shaping the digital «Ukrainika» are proposed, given the experience of the foreign national digital projects.
