The international book exchange of the Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine in the library and information resources development system

Abstract: In the focus of the article is the role and value of the international book exchange for acqusition of collection of the Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine library network by foreign literature. The main tendencies of the international book exchange development, and the irreversible processes of its declining all over the world as well as book exchange perspective are analyzed.
