Pomchalova O. Authority file individual authors headings as basis for improvement of library e-catalogueAbstract: The article is concerned with the problem of creating an authoritative file of individual authors with the help of IRBIS for the electronic catalogue at Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine. The author of the article reveals the role of AF “IA» in the procedure of standardizing the bibliographic records which in its turn helps to avoid mistakes while compiling bibliographic records.
