The creation of the subject headings authority file in the Korolenko Kharkiv State Scientific LibraryAbstract: The aim of this article is a covering of actual problems of subject cataloging in the V. Korolenko Kharkiv State Scientific Library. The special attention is devoted to the creation of the authority file of subject headings which releases the content of documents for the satisfaction of users various inquiries. Examples of the subject headings as well as subject, geographical, chronological and formal subheadings in the electronic bibliographical description are provided.
