Is it urgent to have The National Register of Book Monument in Ukraine?

Abstract: The main documents governing the creation in Ukraine of the State Register of National Cultural Heritage (SRNCH), its component parts «Rare Books of Ukraine» are analyzed. The disputable issues that can be interpreted in different ways are emphasized. Author seeing and perception of position and experience of the The Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine to create SRNCH is expressed.
