The legislative regulations of the legal deposit in Egypt libraries

Abstract: The article is devoted to the main features of the directive materials and laws pertaining to supplying the libraries of Egypt with the legal deposit. In particular, The Law of Egypt No.82 of 2002 «Pertaining to the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights», which regulates the distribution and the delivery of the legal deposit, is reviewed. The main attention is focused both on the procedures of registration of print materials and the registration of multimedia.
