Abstract: The purpose of the article is to investigate the main directions of the integration of domestic science into a single information space through the introduction and support of the presence of scientific periodicals in scientometric international databases, to highlight ways of implementing this issue using the example of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, consider the classification of the main world databases of scientific information and a set of scientometric indicators for the analysis of the scientific activity of scientists. Research methods. The work used a complex of general scientific approaches and research methods: systematic, classification method, analogies, methods of comparative and logical analysis, source analysis, which make it possible to reveal the essence of the issue of integration of scientific publications into international information-analytical and search systems, analysis of websites. The scientific novelty consists in analyzing the presentation of scientific and technical information in global databases and supporting the publishing activity of scientific periodicals of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, for the promotion of which on the Internet, the supply of metadata to a number of international referencing and indexing databases is ensured. Conclusions. The transformation of the library and information industry, which responds to digitalization changes taking place in society, determines the main directions of activity of modern libraries. The priority today is the active position of libraries in the system of scientific electronic communications, in particular, in matters of integration of scientific achievements into the world research space for the popularization of scientific results of domestic scientists and their subsequent registration in international scientometric databases. Libraries need to: constantly monitor international research projects, foreign and Ukrainian scientific publications with an impact factor; submit new publications for indexing in international scientometric databases; ensure compliance with the criteria for indexing scientific periodicals in Scopus and/or Web of Science, expanding the list of scientific professional journals indexedin leading world databases.
