V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine and the National Library of the Republic of Moldova: main aspects of international cooperationSection: International cooperation of libraries Abstract: The purpose of the article is to investigate the state and main aspects of bilateral scientific cooperation between V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine and the National Library of the Republic of Moldova, to reveal the main forms and directions of international interaction. The research methodology is based on systemic and structural approaches, the use of logical and structural-functional analysis, and scientific objectivity. The scientific novelty lies in highlighting the experience of international scientific cooperation between V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine and and the National Library of the Republic of Moldova. The main aspects of scientific and informational bilateral cooperation between these leading libraries are revealed, and the place of such interaction in the system of international relations is characterized. Systematic analysis has made it possible to identify prospects for further development and strengthening of bilateral professional relations, and to determine the priority paths for their improvement. The research findings indicate that the partnership relations between V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine and the National Library of the Republic of Moldova were intensified after the signing of the agreement on scientific and informational cooperation in 2017, contributing to the expansion of interaction and strengthening of quality document exchange. Conclusions. With the beginning of the full-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation from February 24, 2022, the system of international scientific cooperation of V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine entered a new stage of its development, which affected the relations with library partners, including the National Library of the Republic of Moldova. It was determined that the library activity of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova was aimed at active support of the library sector of Ukraine and colleagues from Ukraine. Analysis of the main aspects and results of cooperation between V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine and the National Library of the Republic of Moldova over the past years demonstrates the strengthening of the Ukrainian-Moldovan partnership, which is of great importance in reinforcing the international relations systems of these national libraries and enhancing their information and communication component.
