Conceptualization of the study of audiovisual documents in the archives of UkraineSection: Libraries and archives in the digital environment Abstract: The purpose of the article is to represent the conceptual foundations of the study of audiovisual documents in the archives of Ukraine. Research methods. The following methods are used in the article: systematic, source analysis, classification, comparative, which make it possible to reveal the conceptualization of the study of audiovisual documents in the archives of Ukraine. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the representation of the conceptual basis of the research of audiovisual documents in the archives of Ukraine.. The author’s understanding of the concept of "audiovisual documents" and "archiving" is offered. It is argued that an audiovisual archival document has a wide semantic meaning, as a technotronic document, a work of art, a product of production and creative activity, a source of information and a means of communication, an object of archival storage with its inherent multifunctionality, attribution and structure. Conclusions. The activation of the study of audiovisual documents as a component of the national information resource with a wide range of involvement and use in social and communication activities datesback to the 2010s. The strategies and priorities of audiovisual archiving have undergone certain modifications under the influence of digital technologies and the formation of the digital media space, as well as important socio-political events. Audiovisual documents are not only components of reality, but also sources of information that shed light on events, processes and phenomena of which they are a part. Reproducing various images and emotions of the time, they convey, beyond the will of the author, a lot of narratives, organized with the help of sounds and / or images, organically inscribed in the visualized "text" of a higher level. Audiovisual documents also reflect external circumstances and manifestations of facts, events, processes, phenomena. This feature is defined as informative illustrativeness and is inherent in photo, film, and video documents. Central State Audiovisual and Electronic Archive is the only specialized archival institution in Ukraine for the preservation of documents on non-traditional media. Keywords: document, audiovisual documents, archives, media space, information resource, digital technologies, National Archive Fund of Ukraine.
