Remote services of scientific libraries of Classical Universities of Ukraine under quarantine and martial state

Abstract: The relevance of the article lies in the study of remote services with which scientific libraries of classical universities of Ukraine serve their users in the conditions of a pandemic and martial law. A study of websites of scientific libraries of classical universities of Ukraine was conducted. The purpose of the study is to determine the distance services that the libraries of classical universities of Ukraine provide their users in the conditions of quarantine and martial law. Research methods. General scientific research methods are used: analysis, generalization, synthesis, comparative analysis. Conclusions. The study made it possible to determine the list of remote services presented on library websites: electronic delivery of documents (EDD), determination of UDC indexes, online consultations, virtual help, online consultant, online user registration, remote access to prepaid databases and databases, to which are provided with test access, literature search on the topic of research, mobile applications, online seminars and webinars, creation and maintenance of a researcher’s profile in such scientific services as: ORCID, Google Academy, Scopus Author ID, Researcher ID, ResearchGate. A comparative analysis of remote services of libraries of classical universities of Ukraine was conducted. It was established that the library of Sumy State University is the leader in providing the largest list of remote services among libraries of classical universities of Ukraine during quarantine restrictions and martial law.
