Electronic infrastructure of the Vasyl Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv

Abstract: The purpose of the article. It consists in the study of the specifics of the functioning of the electronic infrastructure of the V. Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv and the features of its integration into work processes. Research methodology. The theoretical and methodological basis is general scientific and special research methods. Among general scientific ones, the following were used: 1) theoretical – analysis, synthesis, classification and systematization of theoretical data; 2) empirical - observation, generalization, study of the results of the activities of the V. Stefanyk Lviv National Scientific Library of Ukraine; 3) quantitative and qualitative analysis when processing the obtained research results. The following special methods were also used in the work: bibliographic, analytical, elements of content analysis of document materials and informational electronic resources of the library. The scientific novelty consists in the fact that: 1) a comprehensive study of the electronic infrastructure of the V. Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv; 2) the specifics of its integration into the work processes of information electronic resources of the library are determined; 3) the range of electronic information services provided by the library was analyzed; 4) it was established that thanks to the expansion of online services, effective remote user service has been established. Conclusions. At the current stage of development of the V. Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv prioritizes two main tasks: 1) expanding the use of the latest information technologies in the activities of the library, which will make it possible to increase the number of online service services, as well as contribute to the inclusion of domestic electronic infrastructures in the international system of scientific electronic communications; 2) creation of a digital insurance fund of book collections and access to digital collections, for the preservation and distribution of unique and rare funds, archival documents and materials that are exposed to the danger of physical destruction, especially in wartime, in connection with constant missile attacks, including of the territory of the city of Lviv, which provides an opportunity for open, convenient and effective access of domestic and foreign readers and researchers to various digital collections stored in the funds of the V. Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv.
