The National library and archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran: development and launch of the innovation platform «Libtech»

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to shed light on experience of creating and launching the innovative platform "Libtech" in the National Library and archives of Iran and to reveal its importance as a key tool for digital transformation in the library development. Research methodology is based on systemic and structural approaches, methods of logical and structural-functional analysis, etc. Scientific novelty. The process of development and launch of the innovative platform "Libtech" on the basis of the National Library and Archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran isrevealed, its importance as a key tool of digital transformation in the modern development of library and information complex is determined. Conclusions. The research findings state that the innovative platforms play an important rolein the modern development of libraries. Innovative platform "Libtech" is designed to be anintermediate link for the integration of new technologies, including artificial intelligence, blockchain, deep learning, big data analysis in libraryand archival services to improve library processes and productivity. However, it is expected that the platform will be an effective mechanism for developing, launching and commercializing the best innovative ideas and projects. Research will contribute to greater awareness of native experts, mastering foreign experience, developing organizational skillsand improving the processes of domestic institutions.
