Library and Information Service of Users in Quarantine Conditions on the Example of Libraries of Pedagogical Institutions

Abstract: The purpose of the article is to conduct a comparative analysis of remote services provided by libraries of pedagogical universities during quarantine. Determine the leader among libraries in providing remote quarantine services through comparative analysis for further application of benchmarking. Research methods. The use of general scientific research methods contributed to the achievement of this goal: analysis, synthesis, generalization, comparative analysis, benchmarking. Scientific novelty. A comparative analysis of remote services of libraries of pedagogical universities of Ukraine was carriedout. Book collections were divided into groups for a more convenient and detailed comparative analysis. Within the groups, libraries-leaders have been identified for the provision of remote services during the quarantine. It was determined that the library of Hryhoriy Skovoroda University in Pereyaslav is the leader in providing remote services during the quarantine. Conclusions. In this study, a comparative analysis of remote services of libraries of pedagogical universities of Ukraine was performed. The libraries were divided into groups for more convenient and detailed comparative analysis. Within the groups, libraries-leaders in providing remote services during quarantine have been identified. It has been determined that the library of Hryhoriy Skovoroda University in Pereyaslav is the leader in providing remote services during quarantine. The study testified to the increase in the number and quality of remote services of the libraries of pedagogical universities of Ukraine during the quarantine caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus disease.
